This policy covers the Games service at games.tsp.tools. It explains what the games store, why, and the rights you have over that data. Other tsp.tools services keep their own policy.
In short
- No advertising, no tracking, and no analytics. We do not profile you or sell anything.
- We store only what a game needs to work, such as your settings and your scores.
- Most games are playable without an account. Sign in only to keep progress across devices.
- You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

What we store and why
- Account
- When you sign in, your email address or social identity from Logto, so the games know who you are across visits.

- Profile and settings
- Your display name and colour preference.

- Friends and line-ups
- The names and colours you add for local players, and any line-ups you save for pass-and-play games. Stored under your account and never shared with anyone else.

- Game progress, stats and highscores
- Your in-progress rounds, solved counts, daily streaks, saved starting words and best scores across the games (Word Guess, Four Guess, Untangled, Filaku, Trees & Tents). Stored under your account so your progress is there when you come back.

Some of our games away from this site (on itch.io) keep a public highscore board. Those boards store only the score and the name you type in when you submit it. They are not connected to your account here.
Playing without an account
Most games work without signing in. So your round and stats stay with you on that browser, we store them under a random id kept in a cookie. It holds no email and no name. Clear your browser data and the link is gone.

Hosting
The service is hosted by netcup GmbH, Daimlerstraße 25, 76185 Karlsruhe, Germany. Server access logs (IP address, timestamp, requested URL, browser information) are recorded automatically for technical operation and error analysis.

Authentication
Sign-in is handled by Logto, self-hosted at logto.tsp.tools. No data is shared with external providers unless you explicitly choose social login (for example Google or GitHub).
Cookies
Only strictly necessary cookies are used. There are no analytics, tracking or advertising cookies.
- Theme preference
- Remembers whether you chose dark or light mode.
- Login session
- A Logto session cookie, set only while you are signed in.
- Guest game id
- A random id that lets your rounds and stats persist when you play without an account. No email, no name. One is set per game area you play.

How long we keep it
While your account exists we keep your data so your progress is there when you return. Ask us to delete it at any time and it is gone. Guest data is tied to the cookie in your browser, so clearing your browser data removes it. Server access logs are rotated in the normal course of operation.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, and objection. Contact hello@thespielplatz.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (dsb.gv.at).
